Who could have known? That when you received Daniel Smith's March 2020 Update last month a World-wide Pandemic was in our future?

Who could have known that "the best laid plans of mice and men often go astray" written by Robert Burns centuries ago and repeated by John Steinbeck in 1937 would explode with such catastrophic force today?

Millions of people have had their very lives tossed about like a canoe on a stormy sea. So I'll make this April 2020 Update about Daniel Smith short and to the point.

For those of you who have been following the status of his final appeal.

The Trial Judge ruled 3 days ago and DENIED his final appeal. That means Daniel's record will never be cleansed of his felony convictions. He will continue his life as a felon.

Now you and I have an important choice to make.

We can say it was foolish of him to keep fighting to get his name exonerated, OR

We can use this horribly discouraging time in Daniel's life to write encouraging, appreciation notes to Daniel for sacrificing his very life to help each one of us. He has spent nearly a decade of his life providing a pathogen-killing product throughout the world and then being arrested, convicted and imprisoned for years for having done so. Irregularities in his trial, defense and several appeals to the courts and Presidents Obama and Trump earned zero responses.

But Daniel came through all of this with the same unselfish, sharing and forgiving heart that had been his caring obsession which  gave him the impetus to help each of us and thousands more originally. He is, if anything, a better person for having done so. That's why his normal closing in all his writing is "Always with Love, Light, Laughter & Limitlessness!"

Daniel's work income is now in jeopardy due to everything getting padlocked...at least temporarily.
And, like many of you, he and his family are in a virtual quarantine here in Washington state.

Daniel himself has accepted the judge's denial but his dream of having his conviction overturned has hit him hard.

This gives each of us the opportunity to show him how much his almost martyrdom for us has really meant. Why don't we each write an email expressing how thankful we are for this one-of-a-kind man and include a much needed gift to carry him and his family through the uncertain days ahead.

Health allowing I'll continue sending out monthly updates for you folks ~ to keep you informed about his future creative pursuits.
