Who is Daniel Smith

This Preview will bring you up to speed about a decade-long, Federal-storm-trooper assault on a humble, caring soul who sought only to help disease-stricken fellow humans worldwide.

Why Daniel Smith has become a hero for tens of thousands of suffering people throughout the globe: Daniel founded Project Green Life (PGL), an alternative health association that made the first professional grade MMS (Master Mineral Solution)  ~ making it available in over 160 countries between 2007 and 2011.

Out of the blue the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) began warning Daniel that they wanted the distribution of MMS to stop - immediately. Following legal consultation, Daniel wrote the FDA explaining how MMS was improving the health of multitudes around the world and asked them why they were making this demand. Silence. Daniel sent the document again. Continued silence. Daniel repeated a third time.

Rather than responding, the FDA initiated a year-long clandestine reconnaissance mission for the purpose of secretly securing search and seizure warrants aimed at putting PGL out of business in one fail swoop. It became obvious that this pursuit by the FDA was another example of a plethora of similar militant assaults on other Alternative Health companies and practitioners and in truth was a part of the agency's ongoing war against health freedom. In Daniel’s case they threatened him with 38 years in a Federal prison figuring Daniel would immediately close Project Green Life and thus block the distribution of MMS ever again.

Even though hundreds of users of MMS wrote the FDA declaring praises for the efficacy of MMS the FDA continued and intensified their unconstitutional actions. Daniel was arrested and charged with six felonies along with his wife and two employees. For what you ask? Helping people to get well.

Following a mockery of a trial in which Daniel was forbidden by the Judge to put on a defense he was convicted and sentenced to 51 months in a Federal Penitentiary. Even with this travesty-of-justice punishment the Prosecutor argued with the Judge demanding Daniel be sentenced to Life in Prison.

As you look through this fact-filled blog ( you’ll suspect a scheming collusion between the FDA and gigantic International Pharmaceutical entities. Daniel was portrayed as a conniving, evil, greedy Snake-Oil profiteer. One Federal employee even said, "I consider you a Domestic Terrorist!" Really? C’mon. Get real.

Truth is stranger than fiction. Right? This blog ~ ~ will answer this query.

Malaria is one of the worst diseases in the world and there are over 200 million cases each year. It is the leading cause of death for African children under 5.  Big names like Bill Gates and George Soros donate millions of dollars to fight malaria.

When Jim Humble accidentally discovered years ago that the water purification drops he brought along on his gold prospecting trip to Guyana cured his helpers of malaria, he knew how important that was and he has dedicated himself since then to getting that knowledge out to Africa and the rest of the world. At one point, he had set himself the goal of making one country in Africa malaria free. Although that goal has not been accomplished, there is reason to believe that it could happen, and very quickly.

Who is Klaas Proesmans?

Belgian Klaas Proesmans, CEO of the Water Reference Center (WRC), which has an affiliation with the Red Cross, attended an MMS training seminar in Mexico in 2012. He was interested enough to then organize a field clinic in Uganda with the Red Cross. The results were astonishing: all 154 people who were malaria positive were found free of the malaria parasite within 48 hours after treatment with MMS. He made a video showing the entire process and, in the video, expressed his excitement with the remarkable results. You can watch his video here, embedded within this video to which  Jim Humble added an introduction and Jim’s associate Leo Koehof added an epilogue.

We can only assume that Proesmans was sincere in seeking a cure for malaria. His finding indicates that merely disinfecting the internal waters of the human body is sufficient to eliminate the malaria parasite. MMS is not a drug and was not used as such according to the words of Proesmans: “The aim of the mission is to look at the side effects that a certain way of purifying water has on the blood of certain patients.” Every reference he makes to the test refers to drinking the water containing the water purifier, MMS. He states, “In total we identified 154 malaria positive patients, together with the local health {authorities} or the doctors. All of them were treated. All of them were, between 24 hours and 48 hours, malaria negative… without any side effects!” (Transcript of Proesmans’ words)

So why then did Proesmans try to deny his association with the test, the results, and even the video in which he himself appears as the organizer? Why did the International Federation of the Red Cross disassociate themselves from the amazing results? Until the Proesman video was accidentally uncovered on YouTube, the Red Cross went so far as to declare that the test never happened!

How did this man transform from seeking the truth to actively participating in a cover up? What is the financial relationship between his company and the Red Cross? Why would the Red Cross not want to promote an inexpensive non toxic water purification product that could potentially eradicate the worst disease in the world?

No doubt this experience has been a painful wake up call for Proesmans. No doubt financial interests lie behind his repudiation of this remarkable experiment, and he knows he has compromised his integrity. My question to him:

Will the real Klaas Proesmans please stand up?

I was reviewing the available information about MMS, Daniel Smith and the upcoming federal trial in Spokane WA and it seemed outdated and insufficient to learn about the overall importance of the trial. Available information seems oriented toward those who already know something about the case. My efforts here will be to gather information about this trial and the controversial chemical called MMS that can help us understand what is going on.

Daniel ran a business (Project Green Life, 2007-2011) selling health supplements as well as MMS, a product that has long been available under different names to purify drinking water. His business was raided twice by the FDA and after the first raid in August 2010, he changed his business structure to a private health membership association and advised the FDA of this change. After the second raid (June 29, 2011) he was unable to continue in business because his accounts and cash on hand were seized as well as his computers and merchandise. There were two Grand Juries convened to look into the case and neither returned an indictment, but the investigations continued and in Feb 2013 charges were filed by the U.S. Dept of Justice against four people: Daniel Smith, his partner Karis Delong, his former customer service rep Tammy Olson, and her husband Chris.

Daniel and Karis were arrested on Feb 4, 2013 and imprisoned for a month as they were considered a flight risk due to their international travel. Daniel, Karis and Tammy are each charged with conspiracy, four counts of interstate sales of misbranded drugs and one count of smuggling. The most serious charge is smuggling, which carries a sentence of up to 20 years in federal prison upon conviction. According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher Parisi, the defendants face a maximum sentence of 37 years in prison if convicted on all the charges, but they would likely be sentenced from 63 months to 78 months under federal sentencing guidelines. This case is being prosecuted by the DOJ’s Consumer Protection Branch. However the indictment does not make any claims that MMS sickened or harmed anyone. The prosecution has also stated that Daniel, Karis and Tammy are not charged with defrauding customers, only the FDA.

Four years have passed since the first FDA raid and Daniel and his family have seen their lives turned upside down with all the government harassment.

Daniel has been filing motions and challenging the process every step of the way, learning so much that he is now acting as his own lawyer. Why would a family man with so much to lose take on this battle? Because he is an idealist and a humanitarian, one of the few who will stand up and speak the truth in the face of widespread opposition. Daniel and his co-defendants in this situation have all been offered plea deals and they have refused, because they have not done anything wrong. On the contrary, like most people, they believe that we are guaranteed freedoms in our constitution and that within the structure of the business they had legally formed, they were acting within the law. And the email testimonials that they received were indications that the ‘off label’ use of this water purifier was producing major health benefits for many purchasers.

Why would this trial be important to the citizens of the United States?

It is a multi-faceted issue because there are the legal issues about whether MMS is a ‘drug’ that is not approved by the FDA. MMS in its pure form, as sold, does not have any of the chlorine dioxide that is supposedly ‘the drug’. It must be activated with an acid to produce that disinfecting chemical. That happens in the privacy of the consumer’s home. There are accusations of international smuggling from Canada when the product freely crosses the border every day, literally in industrial quantities. There is the use of forfeiture, the tool being used to strip defendants of their assets, thereby leaving them unable to cover the expense of a trial.

Then there is the question many ask themselves, does MMS work? Does it cause harm? What about the issue of personal freedom? Do we have the right to ingest substances that we believe may be health enhancing based on our personal research and decision? If a decision by popular referendum can change the legal status of marijuana, thus bypassing the (costly) drug approval process, is it time to start reconsidering the status of other medically useful substances that citizens would like the right to consume?

And of course, who is the defendant and what is the sought-after sentence? Is it proportional when there is no injured party and the purchasers of the product were members of a private health membership association? Is our government maliciously attacking Daniel Smith et al to make an example of them because he was the most popular and visible seller of a product that could challenge the pharmaceutical monopoly? In an article written in the Spanish health magazine Discovery D Salud in September 2010, it was stated that MMS could potentially replace over 4000 pharmaceuticals!

That one fact may explain this ongoing campaign against MMS.

The trial begins on December 1, 2014 at the
Thomas S. Foley United States Courthouse
920 West Riverside Ave.
Spokane, WA 99201

Daniel, Karis, Tammy and Chris would like as many supporters as possible to be there, the jury needs to see that WE CARE.

Thomas S. Foley United States Courthouse
920 West Riverside Ave.
Spokane, WA 99201
